The Neighbor (Detective D.D. Warren, #3)
by Lisa Gardner
by Lisa Gardner
Wow what a great read and another classic from Lisa Gardner Detective D.D. Warren series. The story of a seemingly perfect family, the loving couple Sandra and Jason Jones and their four year old daughter Clarissa. Everything seemed fine with both parents working and with plenty of money life was good till one night Jason comes home from work to find his wife is gone.
Once D.D. Warren and her partner Brian Miller get the call for the case it seem's obvious Jason has killed his wife as he seems more interested in covering his tracks then finding his wife. But this case soon becomes alot more complicated as the suspects mount up. First there's Aiden Brewster the registered sex offender who lives in the same street. Student Ethan Hastings a young computer wizz who was helping Sandra with computer stuff and who was in love with her. Ethan's uncle Wayne who was a police computer expert who spent time with Sandra and fell for her and her Father Maxwell who was seemingly incensensed with being kept out of his daughter's life after she was married. What had happened to Sandra? Why was Jason seemingly doing very little to find his wife and clear his name and could it of been possible Jason was beeing set up by someone else? These questions were racing through my mind only for the ending to blow my mind as what i thought would happen prooved well off the mark.
Lisa Gardner has done it again with The Neighbour. terryfying and with enough twist's and turn's to put most psychological movie thriller's to shame. The Neighbour will command your attention right from the first page till the end. Lock the door's and be prepared to be taken away on a unnerving rollercoaster ride.
