My favorite pairs team is still G&G. I first heard about their tragedy from reading an article in Reader's Digest. I wanted to know more, and that led to a 3-4 year obsession. I tried to get a hold of everything. This book was Ekaterina telling their story. It's beautiful, sweet, and sad. I taped the documentary based on this book and it was just the same. I looked up to Ekaterina so much. Although I'm rather surprised with what she has done with her life since, there are still many traits and qualities about her that I admire--such as faith, determination, strength, persistance, inner beauty, confidence, passion, and a soul full of love and devotion. They are traits that I would like to have, as well as my children. Which is why I would like to name a daughter Katia (pending my husband's approval, of course).
