really liked it
bookshelves: fiction, crime, mysteries, history

Great murder mystery, interesting set up. A woman doctor, trained in the Mid-East comes to Henry II's England to solve a series of murders. And the award for most unlikely combination of protagonist setting and plot goes to....
but it's well done, the mystery is actually really interesting and NOT solveable by the reader. The ending was a little silly, she ends up being the mistress to a man who becomes bishop. eh.
