Excellent. Story of a psychiatrist, Rivers, and the patients he treats during WWI. One man, a war hero and poet, wrote a declaration against the war, to the effect that the people in power were keeping the war going for no good reason, with "sufferings for ends which (he) belive(s) to be unjust."
So they send him to a psychiatric hospital to sweep him under the rug. The psychiatrist is supposed to "cure" him of this anti-war perception, and in the end, the patient is sent back willingly, yet still with the same ideas, but Rivers is more changed than he feels the patient is.

I found out at the end, this book is based on actual people.
