I want this SO BADLY.

-

I was already familiar with Melissa Marr via her Wicked Lovely series, and I really like what she does - the themes in Ink Exchange (which I desperately need to re-read) were what got me hooked. So, I bought a signed hardcover of this in Boston... and it was worth every penny. I actually went "Wow," when I closed it. I knew it would be a five-star novel when I was halfway through, but this exceeded all of my expectations.

Fate vs. will; tight-knit communities that you can't escape, no matter how hard you try; blood ties vs. outside bonds; love; the nature of death and the world beyond. Tradition. All of this, and more, is in here.

This is a really beautiful book, and she should feel proud to have written this.
