5 out of 5!!

I LOVED this book. It’s everything. Drama. Romance. Action. Mystery. It really made you want to keep turning the page.

James and Brigit Poe are twins, one quarter human and three quarters vampire. They are the complete opposite in every way. While James is a healer, Brigit is a destroyer. James has been trying to live a good life by going around healing people and not let his vampire nature take over. He has even turned his back on his family years ago.

Then one day Brigit shows up back in his life, telling him that their race is in trouble, and it is up to them to save their whole race. They must find Professor Lucy Lanfair and find out what she knows about the prophecy that she has uncovered on some tablets from the Sumerian area.

Lucy was excited to be asked to appear on a well respected TV show to talk about her translation off of a Sumerian tablet that she believes to be over 5 thousand years old. Lester Folsom is going on before her to talk about his book ‘The Truth’ that recently got pulled from production because it revealed too many CIA secrets. Lester insists to Lucy that her translation and what he knows about vampires are connected. Before he leaves the green room he hands his only copy of the book to Lucy along with a funny looking necklace.

Lucy doesn’t know what to make of the guy, or if he is even sane. Vampires? Right. But then she watches as Mr. Folsom along with the host of the show get gunned down on screen. From that moment on her life turns upside down.

Lucy gets sucked into a world that she thought did not exist. Vampires needing her help to translate the last tablet and find out where Utanopishtim is, so it will save their race from extinction.

James thinks he knows his destiny. To save his race. But he needs the help from Lucy, no matter if she wants to help or not.

With the anti vampire groups called the Vigilante going out and torching every house during the day that they think a vampire lives in; it is not safe to stay any where. With the Department of Paranormal Investigation on the hunt for all vampires and for Lucy, it feels like they will never be able to get to Utanopishtim. They have to move quickly before the entire vampire race gets wiped out.

I gave it five out of five stars. This book series is fast paced, easy to follow, action packed, and enough romance tension to make you want to squeal. This book will not disappoint the paranormal or romance book lover. It has enough romance to interest you, but tons of twist and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

I’m going to have to go back and read all of her Wings in the Night Series!!
