I'm a trade-waiter. I downloaded all of 52 for a year, knowing I'd eventually have it purchase it. I've got to say, reading it in trade erases most of the major complaints with the story: steel and natasha's arc doean't drag, the montoya moments are suddenly entertaining,.....even the incredibly lame batwoman issue suddenly flew by like an action-packed issue should. I really didn't realize at first what amazing storytelling this is (it's helpful to know how it all ends, and to be able to pick up on the subtleties on the way). I just re-read "From Hell", and I honestly think 52 is going to stand up to some of the greatest works in the medium. The first 4 issues are simply incredible, and reading it in trade I have a hard time choosing a favorite arc, everything seems absolutely necessary.
