Read in January, 1984

I read this at my mother's recommendation when I was a teenager. I barely remember a thing, other than that the main character's French was better than her older sister's because she had spent more time doing conjugations during detention and that the youngest sister asked for "a negg" for breakfast. I should probably re-read it.

Jeanette  "Astute Crabbist" Funny the things that stay with us down through the years that have nothing to do with important plot points. Now I'll be thinking of the things you mentioned when I read this one.
