Dammit! Now I’m more anxious to read Iron Knight more than ever! I thought having a taste of what’s coming would help me hold myself up until the 4th installment of the Iron Fey series becomes available but I was wrong. This series is like a drug, the more you get to savor it, you just crave for more!
Anyways, let’s get back to Summer’s Crossing. Let me confirm my certain addiction over the Iron Fey; I waited until Julie Kagawa posted on her blog that the ebook was then available. That meant logging on and off the Internet repetitively and constant page refreshing of Julie’s blog page (forgive my inner stalker, Julie!).
When I finally got my copy, I dove into it at … wait, what time is it now? According to my watch, it’s 2:15am (Philippines Time), so I was in deep-reading meditating, i-couldn’t-care-less-of-the-time, zombie-mode at I guess around 1:00am? Probably.
I’m a certified team Ash but it was definitely a lot of fun to read from Puck’s point-of-view. I like seeing a sensitive side of Puck other than his prankster self, which of course we’ll never run out of. Also, Puck always makes me laugh so I had no doubt I’d me chuckling, giggling, LOL-ing, ROFL-ing while reading this.
I enjoyed the little adventure Ash and Puck had gotten themselves into to repay Leanansidhe of Ash’s debt. There was a moment that I felt an instant hatred towards Puck (you’ll know it when you read the book) because I totally didn’t expect, despite all the circumstances put together, such treachery from him. But it quickly changed when I saw the light of things.
My only disappointment was, it was short. I’m so demanding, huh?! Sorry. I still desire for more!
