This book features a lot of rhyming, comical epitaphs, sort of like this: "Here lies the body of Franklin Finder. Got stuck in the big meat grinder."

Okay, that one is pretty lousy, because I just made it up off the top of my head. But what I remember most about this book is not the book itself, but the way it inspired my older sister and me to sit around and write our own verses for imaginary headstones. Sounds kinda bizarre now that I say it, but I remember distinctly how much fun we had writing those silly things.

UPDATE: Just re-read this one (May 2010). I hadn't remembered anything about the actual storyline, which turned out to be kind of creepy, in an old-fashioned way.
