** spoiler alert ** I liked this one better than the first! I think since most of the world-building was covered in Leviathan, we could get into the action faster, and that helped. Still a little slower and more sluggish than I like my fun YA reads to be, but I will definitely stick through until the end of the trilogy to see how things turn out. However, just to be clear, there is a lot of action in these books! Things were happening, oh were things happening. I just tend to read books for the characters and relationships, in in that regard, these books tend to be a little lacking for me. It's a series more about the fantasy world and the action, which is fine. Just not generally my cup of tea. But, now that ADORABLE TALKING ANIMALS have been introduced, well, I just have to see where that goes, right?
