I liked this book even though I disliked more than half of the main characters. I liked the mom Mirabelle & her son Ivan, but both her daughters were terribly annoying. Still, I enjoyed reading about this messed up family & found myself wishing they'd all just end up okay in the end. I found the relationship between Ivan & his best friend very touching & was hoping they'd end up together. By the end of the book I had grown fond of everyone, even the idiots I didn't like much at first.
