Accounting for the fact that it's a Young Adult book, it's a decent, and quick, read. Things move along at a fairly quick rate, without much detail, which to me seemed a little "fake", but maybe that's how books like this are... it's been awhile. Additionally, some of the dialogue seemed very strict and forced, even "campy".

The plot should be interesting to a young reader just getting started in SciFi, because it doesn't delve very deep into the normal complex issues of physics, time, or even human interactions. Quick chapters, simple concepts, and a naming scheme that will seem a little silly... certain sections of the book actually remind me of Roald Dahl.
