When Doctor Alan Rowse disappears, his disapperance is compared to one that happened 70 years earlier to Jonathan Ketchem during the time of prohibition and when his story comes out it was interesting.

Reverend Clare Fergusson is in love with the local police chief Russ Van Alstyne who is very married.

They find themselves investigating the disappearce of doctor Rowse,it was an interesting combination and I enjoyed how the story was told between then and now.

I enjoy stories that go back and forwards between times, most of the time anyway, this one was well told.
