If you owed someone a favour and could turn into a coyote, how are they going to expect a favour returned? In this case by becoming a sniffer dog! Unknown to the ones who were calling in the favour, a walker-sniffer dog won't just sniff out a murderer, but will also sniff out fae secrets that weren't meant to be known by anyone but the fae.

This coyote is smart too, and figures out just how to keep herself alive when the Gray Lords find out that she knows more than she should, now she isn't the only one that knows the secret, but the werewolves as well!

I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn't put it down. Patricia Briggs is great at putting in just enough action and emotion to make the perfect story. And talking of emotion, the last part of the book was extraordinarily moving, it's so long since I've cried over a book that I didn't think I could still do it!

Although I wasn't particularly impressed with the idea of yet another rape to read about, it seems a few too many books I have read recently involve rape, whether attempted or achieved...

However, I can't wait to read this next book, especially now that Mercy has chosen her werewolf, can't wait to see what will happen between them in the next book.
