This book was a murder mystery which was more of a romance between a policeman and a so called suspect--Alison Bergeron, who is a college professor whose car is the location of the first murder victim. Detective Bobby Crawford is the deterctive who is assigned to investigate the case, and who becomes involved romantically with Alison, who has all sorts of adventures as she becomes threatened at times. This is the first of a series--there's at least one more to come. Easy reading--not sappy. Hey, close proximity (2) is redundant, and prayer missal, not missile, which would be a weapon, or whatever.
