bookshelves: animals, emotions, read-aloud, self-esteem

In this story a little boy uses words to describe himself as he compares those characteristics to different animals who also exhibit them. Its another one of Audrey Woods books. Although not quite as funny as Silly Sally, it is definitely worth the read. I would recommend this book for prek through 2nd grade. After the story, teachers can have children write something special about themselves on an animal cutout and post them around the classroom.
