I am of two minds on this one. The story was compelling and fast-paced. There were times I had to sit up on the edge of my seat, willing myself to read faster to get to the next part of the story. On the other hand, it made me angry. I figured out what was going on quickly, but it didn't make me any more prepared as the story progressed. It made me angry, though I suppose that was kind of the point.
This would not be a story to teach to a young class, but I could see it for juniors or seniors. Some of the content would be difficult to justify for a younger audience, though it has many ideas that would be good to discuss. From abortion to socio-economic status, a number of ethical issues arise. This book could be used in a civics class in a discussion about civil rights and Roe v Wade.
