So the final consensus is that it isn't great, but it isn't awful. I'm not going to give a big long review since I feel this one sums up my feelings pretty well... I enjoy the way Oliver writes, so most of my issues with the book are flaws I found here and there. The love triangle (quadrangle?) isn't all that interesting and that's what usually catches and keeps my interest. In this case, I kept reading because I wanted to find out what happened with Riley's dad. I can't give it 4 stars since it didn't get me page-turning excited until I hit page 304 and that disappeared by page 319. I give Oliver props for her proper usage of "like," (and for not over-using it!) especially since it was butchered in another book I recently could not torture myself enough to finish. I also feel weird reading a non-vampire book, so that may also be weighing down my 3 stars. Bottom line, if you want to read a book with a bunch of demons, rather than a bunch of vampires or wolves, this is a good pick. I can see myself reading the sequel this fall.
