This is more a 3.5, maybe even a 4 Stars.
I know I may be beaten for this review, (what can I do if I'm a bit masochist?). Okay here it goes.
Cat & Bones. I've read amazing reviews all over. So went to see what the fuss is about.
What's the fuss about?
Cat and Bones make a deadly couple. She being a half breed vampire, and he being a full blood one (no pun intended). They know each other at a weird situation. (Cat trying to kill him, but who's caring?). Both Cat and Bones have the same job, with different reasons: Kill Vampires.
Her reasons: All vamps are bad. One of them raped her mother, and she is his offspring. The (un)dead lives only to cause pain and kill. Or so she thinks.
His reasons: The money. To get rid of the scum in his species.
It started kinda slow. I felt like I was reading, reading, reading and going nowhere.
At 40% however it started to pick a good pace. I liked the plot, and the way the story was told (even though 1st person annoys me). I laughed a whole freaking lot. They are both hilarious characters.
What I liked:
* The fun. I love a book that can make me laugh, and this one did verily.
* The chemistry between them.
* The action.
* Bones's accent. (Don't fret about it)
* Cat's transformation. At the beginning she was kinda innocent. By half/end of the book I was seeing her with new eyes. Wasn't just externally, but also within her.
What I did not liked:
* The beginning. Slow. I would have dropped if wasn't part of a Challenge.
* Even as great as the main storyline is, I don't find it particularly different from PNR's out there.
* Bones's I love you statement SO soon. (I was... huh? Seriously?)
* I know I have something more, but just can't remember, so I'll skip this and finish this review.
In the end I'm glad I haven't dropped. It was worth it. I liked.
There's a big cliffhanger in the end, but that it's okay to me. Guess I'll have to check itout the rest of the series.
(And I don't think Bones looks like Spike!!)

Haha ... I can honestly say I felt the same way Dyllan a bit slow in the beginning and that Bones does not make me think of Spike. LoL! But I can say that the books do get better from what I read so far but that is just my opinion. And yes the infamous chapter 32 is panty drenching!
