Hunger was A LOT more darker than it's predecessor. A lot more violent and the stories just got darker and at times very intense. What I love about hunger is that for the first time, it really isn't solely about the evil that is hiding out in the FAYZ but it's about the evil that is in each of the characters. Lines are crossed, Mistakes are made and innocence are hurt. This book was great because you got to delve into human nature and see how we tick when you are put in situations like Hunger(case in point, the story is called Hunger) and how that can drive us insane and have us prey on the weak. People compare this series to Lord of the flies but I don't really see it...However, Hunger is definitely comparable to Lord of the Flies.

(view spoiler)[What bothered me was the fact that Diana shaved her head(i believe it was in this book. It just doesn't make sense to me. Does She look that different bald that people couldn't recognize her walking around town. Especially seeing how she is the "girlfriend" of the crazy and powerful Caine. Also, I love Hunter and his storyline in this book and I am so sorry for what happened ot him. i feel like he is a real person haha. I got a little to caught up in this story haha. (hide spoiler)]
