As I sat in the other reviews, I am a fan of the series. I read the second book(Hunger) and this one back to back so i was able to see the effects of what happened in book 2 instantly. All in All, i was not disappointed in lies however i wasn't exactly entertained. There wasn't a lot of intense action that you found in Gone and especially in hunger and it relied more on the drama in town. Book 3(Lies) is kind of like a resting period between Book 2 and Book 4. It gives you a lot more knowledge and insight into a lot of characters minds and you can just feel the desperation, the craziness, and the intensity of the FAYZ as if you are a member of it. While I love this book and series as a whole, I'd rank Lies as my least favorite of the four. Light on action but Heavy on the drama. Also, I don't like how some of the main characters were not as important in this book and the introduction of new characters seemingly dominated alot of chapters which I think should have been introduced in Book 2 or at least fleshed out better. All in All, i'd rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 as an 8.2
