Echo, is a about a young woman named Echo searching for what makes her special. Trying to compete with her angelic, almost perfect mother and trying to capture attention from her father. Echo's life changes when her father becomes terminally ill, and her parents seem more and more distant. She comes encounter with various characters, when she loses herself through various things like anorexia, drugs or a host of other things. In the end she comes to realize that her salvation can only come from learning to respect and love herself. The author Francesca Lia Block writing style gives objects a different perspective. Echo is a good read for young adults.

Larissa I like this review, although I wish it provided a bit more of YOUR opinion, and maybe a quote from the text.
