really liked it

Not many surprises, but a great mood and feel. I like that the characters live in history, but are not players in the game of kings, most fiction likes to make a big deal of having their characters in court, or working around intrigues of church and empire. Peter's really tries to show how everyday people go about their business and that is refreshing.
