I enjoyed reading the real life dramas surrounding the 2008 presidential campaign. I found the writing excellent and the narrative compelling and well-paced. The one section that lagged, in my opinion, was the beginning section chronicling the early months of the Republican primary. I felt it lacked detail in comparison to the well developed section on the Democratic primary. In fact, I found myself looking back on the previous few pages when the authors were summarizing how McCain had fallen from his front runner status all the way to considering ending his campaign.

Excellent political commentary and a voyeuristic back stage look at our most recent presidential contest.
