I'm unsure about this book (but I REALLY wanted to love it)...part of me wanted to give it 4 stars and then there were times when I was thinking 2-3. I probably would have given it 3.5 stars, but that option isn't on goodreads. I don't want to say too much because many of you are planning on reading this book...and I honestly can't pinpoint why I wasn't as big of a fan of this book as some of her others. I do think that as far as chick lit goes, Emily Giffin is one of the best authors out there. I think part of my problem is that I just didn't think the main character was all that likeable. She wasn't wretched or anything, I just didn't identify with her very well. I'm interested to see what others think about this book though!

I didn't like it as much as the other ones. I thought the main character was likeable enough, but I just didn't get the whole ex-boyfriend thing. I think you had to wait for the second half to really get any kind of justification/explanation for Ellen's behavior, but early on, her decisions just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe I didn't identify with the whole "carrying the torch for the ex that didn't really care about you" thing either.
