An Echo in the Darkness (Mark of the Lion, #2)

** spoiler alert **
This is the second book in the Mark of the Lions series from Francine Rivers. I was intrigued to read this book after the first book. I had to find out how Hadassah's story played out. I was far more interested in Hadassah's story than any other in the book. I was a little annoyed by Marcus and his constant anger, even after he learned of God. I mean this guy was NEVER happy. Although I was happy that at her end Julia found Jesus and was baptized, I really didn't enjoy reading the parts of her story either. The end of the book ended pretty abruptly to me although I felt the book was too long anyway. I feel like I would have preferred a book that was more about Hadassah and Marcus's life together serving the Lord over the dragged out chapters of Marcus on his long journey and then Julia's dragged out death.
