The Dragon's Path (The Dagger and the Coin, #1)

I always love when you pick up a book by an author you have never read before and are instantly mesmerized by the world that they have created. This book fell into that category.
There were many key elements that have been revisited in fantasy book through the years. This book had many of them. However, that didn’t detract from this book. In fact, I think it actually enhanced my enjoyment.
This book is set in a world that was once inhabited by dragons. The dragons bred thirteen different factions of humans as slaves. Eventually, the dragons die off and all that remains are the humans. The humans had been living in these separate factions for so long, that they continue on in them.
This is the first book in a new series by this author. I plan on reading his prior series while I wait ever so impatiently for the next one in this series.
In conjunction with the Wakela's World Disclosure Statement, I received a product in order to enable my review. No other compensation has been received. My statements are an honest account of my experience with the brand. The opinions stated here are mine alone.
