Jesse lives with his cousin Daisy. They are the best of friends and have a lot of fun exploring, reading books together, and trying to find magic everywhere they go. One day while on a hike, Jesse finds a "Thunder Egg" which is normally a geode. This is no ordinary geode though! Jesse and Daisy are amazed when a dragon hatches out of the Thunder Egg. Thus starts an amazing adventure as they try to take care of their dragon Emmy, while keeping her safe from harm. This is a great book for kids and I love that it is a series. I am definitely hooked and want to read more! Grades 3-5
