Are You My Mother?

This classic children's book written by P.D. Eastman is a GREAT book for Kindergarten students who are just learning to read. Are You My Mother? tells the story of a little bird whose mother went out to find food. While she's gone, the little bird wakes up and thinks he is an abandoned orphan. Thus, the bird asks all kinds of animals the same question: "Are You My Mother?" In the end, the little bird and his momma bird are finally reunited. Young children will love to read this book because of the rhyming words and rhythm of the story. Kids can also discover how important their relationship with a mother or mother figure can be in life. I really enjoy this book!
