This book was actually better than I give it credit for being. I think I just was not in the reading mode. I generally like books that are set in the early 1800s and this one was. I like the formal language and all the stiffness of the era. Caitlyn is a beautiful young girl who is invited to a party (lasted about 3 weeks) at the castle/home of Georgianna. Georgianna had been pestered to ask Caitlyn by Alexander, her former lover. Alexander had met Caitlyn in London and felt his family had been scorned by her. He wanted revenge. HA. They entered an interesting challenge, each completing three errands laid down by the other. Interesting stuff. All the while, each falling in love with the other. Alexander is 50 and Caitlyn 23. He felt the age difference would not work. She finally convinced him otherwise.
