Is it just me, or does "What normal girl loved physics? Abnormal ones." kind of not make grammatical sense?
I'd rather love physics (which I do with a vengeance) than be hot ANY DAY. Yeah, I'm abnormal, but normal is boring.Jeesh, I regret buying this book now.
Anyone else catch her love of physics but hates calc? At least where I went to school you couldn't do the one without the other.
Wait...so most of you agree that it's perfectly fine to love physics, not be hot, but you dislike the main character? I'm confused.

I like brainy types. I don't like girls who let bullies steamroll them, or their parents literally ruin their lives by screwing their educations.
Ha. This is how I felt about Hunting Lila. I never got past the beginning few pages when the main character moons over her love interest after nearly killing a guy; "I was in so much trouble. So I did what I always did in times of stress, I unpacked every Alex memory from where I’d filed them in the most accessible part of my brain and started to slot them together like puzzle pieces."Um... No.
Why do young adult books begin like this? WHY?
I know. I'm only 19 myself and I find it insulting when authors seem to think my age group have nothing better to do than daydream about guys!
I'm also in the same age group as you, and I completely agree. Whenever a teenage girl in a YA novel spends her life pining for her love, her behavior is just explained away by "raging teenage hormones." These supposedly "raging hormones" have, in fact, very little influence on my mental capacity and self-respect!:)
^ a smiley face to soften my words
The first book takes a bit to kick in, but the story is actually COMPLETELY different to how this thread has made it seem. :|

What's up with the hate comments I really love these books I don't have a single problem with the protagonist or the book itself. I loved the plot and the characters, epic!!
That makes me want to punch myself in the face. Really, people, come on. Saying shit like that in a book directed at teen girls. Wtf?
I liked this book and the series so far, but your five word review made me LOL pretty hard. It does get a little better, although I gave up on this after a while because I didn't think the story needed to be stretched out over so many volumes. *pushes "like" button*
@Chibineko Thank you! I think if the series wasn't so ridiculously long, I might have been willing to try it out a bit longer but, ah, there's too many other things I have to read :) I'm glad you enjoyed it more than me!@Khanh LOL, yeah, I didn't like this one much :D
