Apparently I'm a hater because I write negative reviews.

message 4: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Sorry guys. I know. I'm bummed too. When will they learn?

message 5: by Amanda (new) - added it

Amanda The Book Slayer sigh. this stuff gets old.

message 6: by rameau (new) - added it

rameau *headdesk* (Thanks.)

message 7: by fяσzєη (new) - added it

fяσzєη Yup. It's official. Bad author behavior is a monthly thing.

message 8: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Not a problem. Waaa waaa. LOL.

message 9: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara LOL, fauzan. It is. Ridiculous. I'm bummed over this one because I have had conversations with her and she seemed like such a sweet person. I just told someone I thought she was great the other day.

message 10: by Katie(babs) (new)

Katie(babs) Got to love how authors do this on Twitter where no one will see. *eye roll*

message 11: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara I know. I would have missed it if I hadn't seen someone else tweet it. Someone will always catch this shit. They need to stop.

message 12: by fяσzєη (new) - added it

fяσzєη I'm just glad I didn't like the first book that much, or I would've been really pissed off.

message 13: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Me too. I gave it a 3 star rating. I was on the fence about reading this one. The decision has just been made for me.

message 14: by fяσzєη (new) - added it

fяσzєη By the way, is it okay if I steal that pic and post it on my review's comments?

message 15: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Absolutely. It's not mine. I ganked it from someone else LOL.

message 16: by Has (new)

Has Tweeting this on twitter, they know what they are doing. It is getting the message across publicly - best thing for an author reading a bad review is to rant privately with friends or family.

message 17: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara I agree. But why would they WANT to tweet it publicly?

message 18: by Has (new)

Has Cynically? I think it helps drums up drama which equals interests and sales. I know a snarky, critical review which gets a backlash helps with publicity but there is definitely an issue with a faction of YA blogging and with some authors who have this BE NICE attitude. But the fallout isn't nice which I find ironic :P

message 19: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Right. I think I actually sell more books from my negative reviews than my positive ones. Everyone reads the negative ones. I doubt many read the books I rave about. Oh, and I ABHOR the Be Nice attitude. The day I have to stop being honest is the day I quit blogging.

message 20: by Has (new)

Has I totally agree, and I have bought books due to a negative review - because it appealed to me. I think most readers would prefer an honest review than a sanitised one any day.

message 21: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Michelle, for me it wasn't you that was the problem. :) It was the other author calling us "haters" that I took issue with. So you are fine with me.

Same here.

The Holy Terror Ooh, I have the top negative review for Plum's first book, so I suppose I'm a hater who likes to hear myself talk. Good to know.

message 24: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara LOL. Yup, I would imagine she was not happy with that review and that is why you are a "hater" in her eyes. Seriously. Ridiculous.

Authors that can't take any criticism need to find a new line of work. Period.
