Fans of Debbie Macomber's The Shop on Blossom Street series will love this. A mother and daughter drive across country together for college freshman move-in.

There is plenty of introspection, some action scenes, and character growth. I felt the last chapter epilogue tack-on was out of synch with the rest of the book.

I read it once because I am a fan of the author's romance novels, but this is not a keeper for me. If you liked this, try the author's nonfiction How I Planned Your Wedding: The All-True Story of a Mother and Daughter Surviving the Happiest Day of Their Lives, especially if you have a daughter in a relationship that may lead to marriage.
