Carrie is a truly insightful book on the awkward adolescence of teenagers during high school. Carrie is not as scary as it is macabre, but it is still a memorable book nonetheless. This book also shows what a girl can do who has been shunned completely from high school society to her peers, who have made her life very uncomfortable since she first knew them.
This book is about a girl named Carrie, who has been bullied since she first started going to school. Her mother is a religious fanatic who is obsessed with Carrie being completely closed off from society except for going to school. Although no one truly likes her, Carrie is special. She has telekinetic powers, in which she can move things with her mind. And at the prom, where a prank goes wrong for everyone, Carrie uses her powers for revenge...
I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good macabre story, with stereotypical high school events throughout, which can be a tad annoying.

Ms. Shah said that my book, The Green Mile, counts as two books.
