I wished there had been more business and personal relationship delving in this memoir, which is also -- sneakily, I thought -- about Howe's relationship with George Plimpton at The Paris Review. I found the publishing aspects introspective and bland, the deli sections not as involved as I expected. The memoir is well-crafted and well-written, but left me feeling like something was left out.
