Read from April 06 to 15, 2011

This book was a silly mishmash of genres (modern teen angst, historical fiction, supernatural, time travel). The plot turned on ridiculous coincidences. And if the author suddenly needed a supernatural occurrence to come out of the blue to resolve a plot detail, she threw it in. To try and keep it real, the author continually reminded us that any weirdness may just have been the anti-psychotic drugs the protagonist was popping like candy. There was nothing sympathetic about the protagonist, and I got seriously bored of her ongoing suicidal ideation.

I would not have finished this book, but it was the only book tape I had to listen to on a lengthy trip.
