Something Deadly This Way Comes, the third installment of the Madison Avery series, only gets better and better as the storyline continues to unfold. Madison is sassy and smart, but also slightly reckless, headstrong, and VERY determined to prove that given a chance and choice, a soul bound, falling rom grace can be saved, sparing both the life and the soul. It is quite difficult not to love her!

In Something Deadly This Way Comes Madison discovers more of her powers as the Dark Timekeeper, such as being able to stop time. I love how her powers seem to just manifest accidentally...it is much more believable somehow that way. Her relationship with Josh continues to grow and flourish in this book and her ragtag band of renegade angels are finally beginning to comprehend what she is attempting to do.

The plot moves along a good clip, keeping you interested and excited about the storyline all along the way and then BAM! Surprise!! Madison find her body. Finally! I was starting to wonder if poor Madison would ever be able to eat French fries again. I really loved that Madison’s body is in the same condition it was when she died in that car crash the night of prom. Her torn, tattered, and blood stained dress remains as does the dried blood on her arms and bruise across her chest from the seat belt.

As always, Harrison's action scenes are well written, showcasing the angels passion and how out of place Madison is among it all. Madison is a bold teen character who is more real than most I have read. She’s so much fun to get behind and root for while at the same time being able to smack yourself in the head for the things she says and does. I can hardly wait for the next edition and see how Madison handles the responsibilities of being a Dark Time Keeper...with a BODY!
