Peaches is a great book about 3 extremely different girls who all meet on the Darlington's barely surviving peach farm. Birdie, daughter of Walter Darlington, is a sweet rural farm girl who works hard but can't help feeling like she's not ladylike enough and pretty enough and that she has no experience when talking to boys. Murphy, the play girl i suppose, has to deal with her mom constantly dating kids like her age and getting repeatedly dumped and known as someone you don't want to be seen with, starts to like Rex, Leeda's boyfriend but that would ruin her first and only friendship. Will she accept Birdie and the peach farm and try to stay away from Rex? Or vice versa? Leeda is the youngest daughter in her family and has to follow in her older sister's perfect footsteps or be completely ignored by her mom who she's desperately trying to please. Will she get over herself and just be herself and accept her cousin Birdie and losing Rex who's now more of a brother than boyfriend, or crumble under the pressure? Find out what happens to the peach farm and what it does to the girls...
