Looks like things are getting better as we go along. A much darker installment than the first book with plenty of dark humor to go around. I was really surprised by how Dexter "handles" Doakes in this book, but that may be because I've seen the show and it is done very, very differently. Still kind of wraps up pretty quickly, but by this point I was expecting it. I was very surprised when there were only 11 pages left and things still hadn't been resolved...and then blam, everything wrapped up. All in all, though, a solid, entertaining, creepy read.
