I did this book a huge disservice by not re-reading Starcrossed. I read that one as a pre-pub galley, so it has been over a year between books. Angelini sets up such great characters, and I spent the first half of reading this one trying to remember who could do what and knew what. I still really love Helen and Lucas as characters. I was perturbed that we got thrown a love triangle - I really wish we could read a YA book that didn't center around one, though she does handle this one better than most. She does a great job juggling all the mythology with this one. My only real issue is with Helen's dad and Kate - how in the world could they still be so clueless?? I just don't think Helen's dad - who seems to have an outstanding relationship with her - would be that oblivious. Still looking forward to the next one!
