This is a second volume of short stories and poems from the women of York Prison in Connecticut. This and the first volume (Couldn't Keep It to Myself) are the product of workshops lead by author Wally Lamb.
All of the entries are good, several are great, and a few are excellent. "Big Girl Jail," and the final story about redemption through nature are two of my favorites.
It amazes me that these women, convicted for fraud, drug possession, murder, or a host of other crimes, have found their voices behind bars.
