It got a little racey, folks! Definitely PG-13! (in the romance department)
I liked the idea of this plot, but nothing much seemed to happen by the end of the book. This is pretty much how it goes - Lia is running away from various creatures, trying to figure out what to do next, while being helped by people she doesn't know if she can trust. I'm wishing there was a little more thinking involved in the plot. There are plenty of opportunities to add mystery and twists, but it seems most of the answers to the reader's questions are just directly told by new characters. I don't know how to describe the feeling that SOMETHING is missing from the plot to make this story truly great, but it is there. Unfortunately, I am sucked in and feel the need to read the next in the series. Once again, I'm breaking my rule of not reading a series unless it is complete. *Sigh*
