** spoiler alert ** Good fun and fun to think that this is the book that the fictional character of Richard Castle wrote on the fictional TV show Castle! Some differences -- this character writes for a magazine. There is also another female detective on the squad. And Richard Castle's character of himself -- Jameson Rook and the character of Kate Beckett (Nikki Heat) are initmate. Richard's mother and daughter are not existent in the book, but he does acknowledge them in the author blurb -- all good fun! The story itself is an unraveling of clues with a number of possible suspects. A gossip columnist is murdered and a famous NY baseball player and a famous singer are all wrapped up as possible suspects. It kind of made my head spin, in a good way and some times when you JUST KNOW that Jameson was going to get jumped by the bad guy (why would he go to the crime scene on his own looking for the missing chapter???) The bad guy is very, very, very bad but Kate gets away from him. Humorous at times and very much like the TV show. What's not to like?
