A solid entry in the "James Potter" series, unofficial sequel to the legendary "Harry Potter" series. James travels with his father, brother and friends to the school of Alma Aleron - the American Hogwarts. There he finds a new version of Quidditch, new laws to break and, unfortunately, new enemy to fight. Petra Morgenstern, the girl he loves, is accused of murder and a new mysterious enemy appears, wishing to bring death of muggles and wizards alike.
The book is very long and the start is very slow, but once the heroes arrive in the USA, the story becomes very interesting. The character development is nice and the world building is solid. Like Rowling, Lippert leaves the best in the story for the last and leaves the door open for a sequel.
Rating 3.5 stars.
