bookshelves: awesome

Things Fall Apart is one of the defining works of the twentieth century, as far as I'm concerned. It's not just a story about the rise and fall of a tragic figure, or about the slow strangling takeover of colonialism, but a timeless play starring tradition, power, gender, faith, and history.
