Another book in Reaktion's Edible series. The important thing to keep in mind about these books is that they're short, very short. Because of that, this book doesn't have the real estate to cover much more than the bare essentials about chocolate. There are plenty of other, longer books that get in a lot more information. Keep that in mind before picking this one up. This one is really for chocolate or food history completists, or anyone who wants to get the barest history of chocolate.
