Like most Agatha Christie novels, the identity of the real killer surprised me. The novel's beginning was pretty awkward at first, considering it was split in various chapters and pages. I had a hard time grasping all the characters with the way they were presented.

Nevertheless, as the story progressed, I got acquainted with the characters as easily as eating. The plot itself was good and satisfying albeit a tad too shallow compared to other Agatha Christie novels.

The real reason behind the 'kidnapping incident' surprised me as well. If you get past the shaky beginning, you will instantaneously try to guess who the real 'cat' is.
