Humour and UF, what more can you ask for? The second in the Kitty Katt series of UF/SciFi/Humour books. In this book Kitty, Jeff and the rest of the gang are trying to figure out what returned to Earth with a shuttle full of astronauts. You just have GOT to love a somewhat hapless heroine named Kitty Katt. And yeah, you also have to figure that the reason she IS hapless is that her parents actually gave her a stripper's name. Fortunately, that "aspect" of her name isn't pounded into the ground, so this isn't a one joke series.

Altho it does sometimes resemble "The Perils of Pauline" and that ilk of melodrama, but its very tongue in cheek. And Kitty, while somewhat kick-ass isn't too over-powering. And the "saving the day" is taken in turns by her and by her snuggle alien, Jeff.

In addition to trying to figure out what the hitchhiker is on the shuttle, saving the Earth yet again, and fighting terrorist (homegrown and intergalactic) Kitty is also meeting Jeff's parents for the first time, leading a youth rebellion by the young adults of the Alpha Centauri immigrants and, worst of all, attending her ten year reunion, all while also meeting up with not ONE but TWO former flames. Talk about a hard month's work. . .
