The recent history of Cambodia is very complex, bloody and confusing. Dunlop's book cuts through a lot of the confusion and give a somewhat clearer picture of what has happened over the last 50 years.
Comrade Duch is currently on trial for killing 20,000 people out of the two million men, women and children who lost their lifes to the Khymer Roughe and the Lon Nol, and Pol Pot regiems.
